Archetypal Danish modern lounge chair designed by Lawrence Peabody for Selig and made in Denmark in the 1950s. This is Peabody's most successful design for Selig before being replaced as head designer by Kofod Larsen, to whom this chair is commonly attributed. This early beech version was produced before the Selig badges/medallions and is simply stamped 'Made in Denmark' on the front stretcher. New webbing supports vintage Naugahyde cushions for a very comfortable seat.
