Beautiful solid teak lounge chairs from the late 1950s in new two-tone Maharam upholstery. While the  designer of these fantastic chairs remains unknown amongst Danish modern collectors, we believe these chairs were designed by Illum Wikelso. With their oversized arms, curving back details and distinctive proportions, they are reminiscent of Wikelso's other designs from that period.  This model was featured in advertisements run by Otto Gerdau in period magazines such as Interiors and House Beautiful. Both are stamped Made in Denmark and have the Danish Furniture Maker Control Mark.

The chairs are in very good condition - sturdy framed with tight joints and freshly reupholstered seat and back panels. Priced as a pair.
