Rare and early leather topped coffee table designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar in 1944. This model 4445 table has a minimalist solid mahogany frame and original leather top. It is one of Wormley’s first truly modern designs for Dunbar once he started his own design firm in New York City in 1944. All original condition with wear as shown. Early Dunbar stamp and model number underneath. Final photo similar table featured in Arts & Architectural magazine in April 1948.
