Iconic reflecting arch motif cane benches designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar in the 1950s. These model 5006 (A with cushions) stools exemplify Wormley's use of refined materials such as Mahogany and Brass to lend a distinguished air to his designs. The brass rods play a dual roll - providing rigidity while the ends act as pinpoints to highlight the segments of the arcs. Cane appears original and is in very good condition with occasional finish wear. The frames are very solid and the ebonized finish is very good - unclear if it is original or not. Cushions are being made to improve comfort and longevity of the cane. Dunbar tags on both.
