Iconic Edward Wormley Captain's chair in laminated Ash with brass accents for Dunbar in the 1950s. Combining graceful curves with refined elegance, this is another great example of Wormley's inimitable style. This chair is model 5480 and is featured in the Dunbar book of Contemporary Furniture from 1956 - see final photos for entry. Structurally the chair is in great shape and the brass accents have been polished. The original cane back shows several losses but can be used as is. The original seat fabric is in good condition but the foam has deteriorated and should be replaced.
