Rare art deco / early modern line by Eliel Saarinen, Pipsan Saarinen-Swanson and J. Robert F. Swanson for the Johnson Furniture Company of Grand Rapids in the early 1950s. Featuring the restrained aesthetics of early modern with a single 'wave' element defining the line, this dining table has superb bentwood 'wave' legs, and comfortably seats 6 without leaves and 8-10 with leaves attached. Johnson Furniture Co. label underneath. In good condition with occasional finish wear. The two included leaves attach easily with pull out supports on each end. Very nice proportions and presence.
