Finn Juhl's signature chair, the 1945 model that catapulted him to success in the beginning of the Danish Modern era. Originally made by Niels Vodder, this chair was made by Baker Furniture of Grand Rapids, Michigan as part of the Baker Modern line that launched in 1952. Baker Furniture teamed up with Finn Juhl to produce a large line of furniture including his signature chairs, tables and desks. Made from solid walnut and featuring iconic sinuously curved arms, this chair is a unique combination of the sculptural and functional, providing a superbly comfortable sitting experience while simultaneously being a work of art. Frame is in very good condition with no loose joints and minimal signs of use. Vintage upholstery is in good shape and cushion has had foam replaced.
