Solid walnut model 48 chair designed by Finn Juhl and made by Baker Furniture in the early 1950s. Exquisitely crafted armchair with Juhl's signature organic forms, knife edge armrests and floating seat elements. Top of rear seat strecher is stamped with the Baker model number 400 1/2. The chair has been disassembled and reglued ensuring a sturdy seat for years to come. All joints are very tight with no breaks. Seat and back have been reupholstered in a very nice new old stock fabric with concentric geometric design.
