Superbly comfortable and strikingly designed, this model from the masterful Finn Juhl was produced by France and Son in Denmark in 1962 according to the serial number. Featuring distinctive pomels in front of the leather armrests and a sweeping bow shaped back piece, this chair draws on African and Asian influences to produce a breathtalkingly unique design. The seat is floated in typical Finn Juhl fashion and the combination of spring webbing and foam cushioning provides a supremely comfortable seat. Solid teak frame is rock solid and there is beautiful new leather upholstery all round. Replacement pommels were turned from solid teak blanks to perfectly match the originals and one front leg joint was repaired as shown in the final photo. Both ottoman and chair have the France and Son maker's medallions.
