Rare 1950s Teak desk and credenza designed by Danish modern master Finn Juhl for Baker Furniture of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This Model 2621 desk consists of an angled desk top with center drawer and a credenza which features five drawers and two storage cubbies with adjustable shelves behind sliding doors. The credenza drawers include an adjustable organizer drawer, three standard drawers and a hanging file drawer.
 
Apart from a repair to the base on the far end of the desk top, this desk is in remarkably good condition with its original Baker finish intact and only a few areas of light wear. A previous owner filled the mounting holes in the credenza to use it separately but the desk can easily be secured to it or a wall as desired. The set is very sturdy with Baker's exacting build quality, a requirement that Finn Juhl demanded and came to inspect personally when the line was first produced. 
 
Only one other such desk / credenza combo has come to the market in recent years so this is a special find. See final photos for catalog shots.
