Early 'Japan' chair designed by Finn Juhl for FRance and Daverkosen, the precursor to France and Son. Known colloquially as the Japan chair because of the frame's resemblance to a Torii gate, this chair is sought after by collectors and designers alike. Featuring a solid teak frame with brass hardware and a contoured minimalist seat that floats on subtle risers in true Finn Juhl style. Frame is in great condition, seat was just upholstered in agreat faux shearling that adds to the comfort.
