Excellent period modern 1500 series designed by Florence Knoll and made by Knoll Associates around 1952. Stripped down design with floating desk pedestal, no visible hardware and an ample desktop. Drawers are opened from subtly bevelled sides. Top drawer includes stationary tray that conceals secret storage compartment and original drawer dividers. Two additional drawers provide further storage. Top drawer has original lock and key that secures all drawers. Walnut grain laminate top was an extra cost in the 1950s and offers peace of mind from stains and water damage.
