Late 1940s design from Italian Franco Albini made from black walnut. Complementing Knoll's other angular designs, this rare desk chair by Albini is very well engineered with subtly integrated hardware and a nice wraparound frame. It launched in the USA in 1950 as shown in the photo from Interiors Feb 1950. This piece has been reupholstered in Teal Maharam and the wood lightly refinished. Original Knoll Associates Bowtie label present.
