A rare pair of armchairs designed by George Nakashima for his Origins line for Widdicomb-Mueller that was produced in the late 1950s through to the early 1960s. Featuring Nakashima's classic curved backs seats with tapering ends, angular arm rests and distinctive 6 sided legs, these chairs are very special. Similar 6-sided elements were used on other pieces in the line including a unique coffee table. See final photos for a newsclipping from the 1959 and 1961.
