Iconic modernist desk by George Nelson for his first collection for Herman Miller in 1946. When model 4658 debuted it was lauded as a refreshing approach to a workspace. With everything within arms reach, an expandable desk surface for a typewriter (that could be stored in the 'well',) ample cubbies for a variety of paraphernalia and an easy-to-clean open structure this desk is a joy to work at.
All original leather wrapped desk top and sliding doors are in good condition showing the time earned patina of a well used desk. Structurally sound and showing only occasional wear to the Primavera veneered surfaces..
