Iconic radio cabinet and bench designed by George Nelson in 1947 for his first collection for Herman Miller. Ebonized cabinet with high contrast off white speaker grille offers pull-out Record player tray, flip down access to Amp/radio, a single original 12" Electro-Voice speaker (status unknown) an ample record storage below. Radio cabinet has felt strips underneath to avoid damaging the original George Nelson slat bench beneath which is exactly the same depth for a seemless mount. Bench is structurally solid but has a fair amount of wear from its 80 years of life.
