Rare Early George Nelson coffee table design for Herman Miller from his first collection in 1948. Featuring a dynamic Prove' style walnut  base and a striking Robin's Egg Blue Formica /Micarta top with walnut edge. Table is in good all original vintage condition with some light marking to the top and an 11" loss of the walnut edge banding which can be fixed relatively easily. The base is very sturdy and joints are strong. The Robin's Egg blue option of this table had a very short production run and the top is actually stamped 'Discontinued', signifying the brevity of its existence.
