Early double Headboard and nightstand set designed by George Nelson from his Basic Cabinet Series line for Herman Miller in the late 1940s. Highly sought after hairpin legs on all three units. This model 4647D set has Minimalist walnut cases with padded headboards that can be angled outward for reclining and lowered completely to access storage behind the pad. Nightstands feature upper and lower storage cubbies with a retractable shelf in between. In good original condition with some finish wear to tops and one side table shelf.
