Stylish credenza and desk designed by George Nelson as part of his iconic Executive Office Group line for Herman Miller in the 1950s. Classic high contrast walnut case with chrome pulls on both the credenza and desk, offering excellent functionality and storage options. Behind the left door is a storage section with adjustable shelf; then a stationary drawer with hanging file drawer underneath; two standard sized drawers and a slightly deeper one and finally the 2/3 door under the desktop is to be used as a waste paper bin area.  The beautiful desktop set perpendicularly is ample and is supported by a pedestal with two drawers, one stationary and one hanging file drawer with metal inserts. The original walnut modestly panel is in great condition and framed by two stylish strips of aluminum.
 
This set is in good original condition with occasional finish wear and signs of use. Several small holes in the desktop have been filled but we have kept a larger hole for cable access as it keeps cable management easy. The unit comes apart simply into three peices with two riser blocks. George Nelson/Herman Miller medallion is present in the stationary drawer of credenza and model number stamped underneath (581 7)
