Rare expanding  coffee table design from George Nelson's first Herman Miller collection. Designed in 146 and put into production briefly from approximately 1948-1952 this versatile coffee table provides a range of surfaces at different sizes as needed. Simply extend either drawer to use the removable trays, either for more space or for drinks on the white laminate side. The top has been refinished lightly and laminate trays cleaned. Base was reglued to improve sturdiness.
