UFO shaped wall lamp model 4055 designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier in the early 1950s. Featuring an oversized Black enamel shade with dome diffuser, extendable pivoting brass armature and bleached oak wall mount with counterweight that allows for height adjustment. The lamp mounts seamlessly to a wedge shaped french cleat. All original wiring and switch. Braid covering wire is fraying near shade but functional. Diffuser has repaired crack but looks very good. In good working condition with original 4 postiton switch to toggle between single or double lamp mode.
