Stunning Brazilian Rosewood Vanity from Gilbert Rohde’s 3707 series for Herman Miller Circa 1937. Rohde’s sublime early modern stylings of minimalist planes, floating volumes and simple but refined details are all on display here. The brass pulls are the perfect counterpoint to the incredibly expressive rosewood grain and the floating glass surface reflects light upwards to the user, providing further illumination. Ample storage provided by 3 drawers and four compartments along the back. Original pulls, Herman Miller metal tag in drawer and a new tempered glass shelf make this a fine piece of furniture. Some veneer repairs on the edges but in general very good condition.
