Set of six 1970s chairs designed by Hugh Acton and made by Burke / Acton in Texas. Curved fiberglass shells with upholstered fronts and loose cushion all in original orange vinyl. Set on Acton's signature minimalist chrome bases that were part of his 'I Frame' series, these chairs are a clever marrying of a familiar shell seat with sled base form providing flexibility and sturdiness. Bases are in good shape with only occasional wear. The shells are in good condition with occasional marking on the cushions. A rare find.
