Rare AX series coffee table designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen for Fritz Hansen in the 1950s. Featuring a beautiful bookmatched walnut top set upon a base of bent beech infilled with mahogany and cross braced by turned beech spokes. Table top has been refinished and shows very well. One small area of marking on the edge of the table remains but is not too visible. Table is very solid and marked by Fritz Hansen underneath.
