Vintage mid century modern rocking chair designed by Mitsumasa Sugasaw for Tendo Mokko of Japan in the 1960s. Strikingly svelte silhouette created from a remarkably strong combination of bent oak plus mahogany inlays, bridged by the original leatherette cover. This exceedingly comfortable chair has new support webbing installed as the original material often dries, becoming brittle. The new webbing guarantees comfort for many years to come. The chair is in very good condition with occasional finish wear to the frame and cover. Some stitching is missing between the sling segments and front right corner of rocker sled has a chip but neither affects use.
