Pair of iconic 'Playboy' armchairs designed by Jens Risom in 1955. Model C-140 it gained the Playboy nickname after being featured with Risom alongside five other top mid century designers in the July 1961 issue of the magazine. Solid walnut frame with cane backrest and new Maharam gold upholstered foam seat. Both have the original Risom labels underneath the seat panel.
Wide seat and subtly angled armrests make for an extremely comfortable chair that exudes class. Original cane backs are in very good condition. Frames have been refinished and seats reupholstered. Sold and priced as a pair.
