Mid Century modern rocking chair designed by Kofod Larsen in the early 1950s. Larsen's Penguin series were his first big hit in the USA, with the molded plywood back combined with minimalist iron frame and colorful seat capturing the attention of modern furniture lovers. Despite its stripped down appearance the chair is superbly comfortable with just enough rounding of the back and armrest support from the 'wings'. The rocker base is relatively uncommon and this one has its original runners.
