Malabar chair and ottoman designed by Mel Abitz for Galloway's of Tampa 1959. Bent plywood seat cradled by a solid walnut frame with superb plank armrests and bowtie stretchers. This chair was Galloway's best seller and was produced for 15 years. It is renowned for its superb comfort provided by the ergonomic shell, foam filled cushions and excellent support webbing. Chair and ottoman shells have been newly upholstered with new cushions and webbing done in a colorful cut velvet fabric by Michael Jon Designs titled 'Jacquard' in an orange, blue and cream pattern
