This is a rare Malabar Rocking Chair designed by Mel Abitz in 1962 for Galloway's of Tampa. A very modern design, this comfortable low rocking chair has great lines, an attractive walnut frame, and a bent plywood shell seat. The original Naugahyde material is in good shape with some occasional edge wear on the back (imperfections visible in the included photos). The chair offers new webbing and support foam to increase the comfort of the seat and last for many more decades. Made in Florida.
