Cork Top sideboard by Paul Frankl for Johnson Furniture in the early 1950s. Excellent transitional style with Frankl's use of what was at the time touted as an indestructible material - bleached and compressed cork. Dark mahogany stain contrasts nicely and Frankl's distinctive X brass pulls seal the deal. Maker's mark in drawer and model number on back panel. Good all original condition with age typical wear to top, finish and edges.
