Rare solid walnut frame sofa with brass wire inset arm panels designed by Bertha Schaefer for Singer & Sons around 1954. Part of the critically acclaimed Singer & Sons collection with other esteemed designers including Gio Ponti, Carlo Molino, Carlo di Carli & Ico Parisi, this fantasically designed sofa has some great lines and interesting use of material on the arms. Frame is in very good condition, foam is still soft and support springs with horsehair stuffing on frame is intact. Upholstery is brand new in a superb olive velvet that complements the walnut and brass tones wonderfully.
