Early and rare Florence Knoll desk for Knoll Associates from the 1940s. Featuring Florence Knoll's signature angled/louvered drawer fronts, this desk constructed of solid birch has a distinctive single leg on its left side, borrowing heavily from Jens Risom's similar designs from the early 40s. Risom had probably left Knoll (circa 1946) when this desk went into production. In good original vintage condition with age typical finish wear. Very solidly built with early Knoll label for the showroom at 601 Madison in NYC..
