Beautiful stacking chairs designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen. Sculpted beech frames with teak veneered bentwood seats and backs. Unique 'tabbed' backsare eye catching and feature wonderful grain. These chairs developed from the Portex chairs shown at the 'An Exhibition for Modern Living' in 1949, sharing the same swooping back legs and playwood seat and back ideas. All chairs are marked with the CM Madsen brand. Sold as a set of 4.
These chairs are in good vintage condition but have some old repairs to the upper areas of the seat back supports and plywood. Cracks have been glued and veneer touched up.
