Rare sofabed from 1948 designed by Florence Knoll with Charles Niedringhaus for HG Knoll. Unique patented (1953) swivel back extends the sofa surface into bed proportions and double layer comfort guarantees a good night's rest. Intended for use in hotels, this design was produced in very small numbers for a limited number of years. Bauhaus influenced minimalist black iron frame and modular type cushions.
