Striking cross legged lounge chairs made by Custom Craft of Chicago circa 1960s. Often attributed to Harvey Probber, these sleek walnut framed chairs look fragile but are remarkably solid and sturdy. The brass stretchers and hardware are another great feature which draws the eye in and is typical of both Probber and also Edward Wormley's work for Dunbar. These chairs have been cleaned and the interior foam replaced, renewing their comfort for another 50 years. Original upholstery has been retained as it is in excellent shape and goes so well with the tone of the wood. Overall in very good condition with original tags retained underneath. Sold and priced as a pair.
