Stunning abstract bird sculpture in solid Brazilian Rosewood by artist Narendra Patel. The sculptor completed his M.A. in Sculpture at Wayne State University and an M.A. in Fine Art at Cranbrook in 1965. The piece is in excellent condition with a fine patina. Mounted in a block of redwood, the bird is free to swivel with its tail smoothly passing each corner without hitting it. A rare early find from an established mid-west artist. Signed underneath the block.
