Highly collectible early edition rocking armchair on rod base (RAR) designed by Ray and Charles Eames and made by Zenith Plastics. The fiber-rich lemon yellow fibreglass shell is in excellent condition with barely a trace of wear. The iconic rope edge is clearly visible throughout. The shockmounts are in excellent shape and the rocker base is sturdy. It has had two tidy weld repairs done in the past. The birch rockers are originals and show some drying and cracking on the ends as is to be expected from their age.
