Mid Century Modern Real Estate For Sale: May 25th 2018

This week in our mid-century modern roundup, we have more architect designed homes, including two by Frank Lloyd Wright apprentices. Also be sure to check out the unique home up for auction in Oklahoma, the owner/builder special in Idaho, and the cabin in Maine.

Ted Van Fossen Gem in Worthington, OH - 1,858 sqft. ($495,000)

This restored 1957 home and guest house designed by FLW apprentice Van Fossen is part of the wonderful Rush Creek Usonian Village. Many great features including level changes, built-ins, natural materials, and stunning views. The guest house may actually eclipse the main house in terms of design with its curved built in seating and well proportioned rooms.

Modern Cabin Project in Harrison, ME - 1,152 sqft. ($165,900)

It's lake season again and this 1969 mid-century modern cabin has a wonderful open plan post and beam design that would be a superb project. Reduce the rustic elements and make the finishes more cohesive and you would have a great modern cabin. 150 ft of water frontage, wrap around deck and passive solar design are just a few other reasons to take a closer look at this one.

1975 Post treehouse design by Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice Mark Mills. Full of interesting details including a star shaped skylight in the living room, Japanese style low built ins, lots of natural wood finishes and a superb front door.

Owner Built Modern in Pocatello, ID - 3,127 sqft. ($210,000)

Very interesting 1960 home in the Johnny Creek area with large beams and a very unique fireplace. Some of the rooms seem to have been "Home-Depoted" but this could/should be easy to fix. Plenty of character to work with.
